With our strategy process we derived an overall sustainability commitment and six overarching action areas, that are crucial to our success as a company in the fields of energy supply, trading and logistics:

We always strive to prevent product releases, minimize our environmental footprint and use resources efficiently. At the same time, we aim to reduce our relative energy consumption as well as water consumption, reduce ozone-depleting emissions and further optimize our waste and wastewater management.
Our overarching target: Position ourselves as a company that is environmentally friendly in the context of our business activities; one that minimizes its negative impact on the environment wherever possible.

Occupational Health & Safety
Occupational health & safety – as a firmly anchored company value – has the highest priority in all our activities. We identify and analyze potential risks and take measures to avoid, prevent, control and limit them.
Our overarching target: A proactive safety culture and continuous improvement of all our activities with regard to technological, organizational and behavioral safety.
We also take responsibility beyond our core business and support surrounding communities in our five focus areas: environment, education, health, culture & sports, and humanitarian aid. We encourage and support our employees in their volunteer work.
Our overarching target: Improve the wellbeing of our surrounding communities by providing appropriate financial support and promoting employee volunteering.
