Under the motto "Companies bring culture back to the stage", the kick-off event of a series of live streaming concerts launched by Hamburg-based companies took place on 17 June. The Initiative is intended to specifically support musicians and bands who have been hit particularly hard by the corona pandemic. To kick things off, there was the Grammophon Jazzband on the virtual stage with a varied mix of jazz, pop and soul. Behind "Hamburg rockt's zusammen" and the associated live streaming concert is a broad-based fundraising campaign. All donations that entered until end of June 2021 were increased by Mabanaft, Marquard & Bahls and the other companies involved. The recipient of the donation is the Hamburg initiative RockCity e.V., which has been committed to more than 3,000 music creators in the Hanseatic city for 33 years.
