Management Changeover at OIL! Tankstellen
Having worked at Shell for many years, Robert Kurtze has extensive knowledge of the domestic and international service-station business. He joined OIL! Tankstellen in July, and will now take over its management following a short onboarding phase.
After nearly 35 years of successful work in the Marquard & Bahls Group – 22 of which in the service-station business – Ulrich Freudenthal is taking his well-earned retirement. Since beginning his career at Marquard & Bahls in 1983, he worked in a variety of positions within the group before taking over the management of MHK, which was later renamed OIL! Tankstellen, in 1995.
"Ulrich Freudenthal is one of our most respected and longest-serving executives. With a great deal of passion and personal commitment, he expanded our service-station business from ten sites in 1995 to currently more than 330 service stations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark. We thank him for his long years of dedication and wish him the very best for his future," said Volker Tiedemann, Director Mabanaft Retail.
"At the same time, we are delighted to have won an experienced successor in the person of Robert Kurtze," Tiedemann added. "He is deeply familiar with the service-station business and will pursue the goal of continuing the successful operation and expansion of the network."
OIL! Tankstellen is a subsidiary of Mabanaft, the trading division of Marquard & Bahls, Germany.
