Mabanaft Limited Acquires Thomas Silvey Limited

Mabanaft Limited, London, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Thomas Silvey Limited ("Silvey"), Bristol with immediate effect. This addition to the Mabanaft Group follows the recent acquisition of Advance Fuels and the previous successful development of BWOC in the UK. As member of a sound and widespread group of companies, Silvey will be in a position to enhance the service to its customers and promote expansion of the business in these turbulent times.

Silvey operates from depots around the south-west of England and along the M4 corridor to Milford Haven. In addition to its current supply agreements Silvey will draw product from Mabanaft facilities at Avonmouth and Cardiff. The company serves both domestic and commercial customers and is also a provider of third party haulage to the industry. In addition, Silvey will continue to supply fuel at the Chippenham Truck Stop. David Hatherell and Paul Cooke will continue to manage the business as Directors reporting to the Board.

Mabanaft Limited has operated in the UK from its London base for over 40 years. The company supplies automotive and heating fuels to commercial customers from storage facilities at Grays, Cardiff, Immingham, Seal Sands and Grangemouth.
