Change in Management at Mabanaft Deutschland
02.01.2008 - Hamburg:
As of 1 January 2008, Werner Greif, who up to now has been the company’s managing director for commercial transactions, will withdraw from daily operations at Mabanaft Deutschland due to commencement of his part-time work pending retirement. Thomas Johannsen has been appointed as his successor.
Werner Greif looks back on more than 25 years of service at Mabanaft. From 1997, he served as managing director of Mabanaft Deutschland and managed the company’s commercial business both prudently and successfully while demonstrating great personal commitment. Werner Greif shall continue to be available for consultancy work until his official retirement from the Mabanaft Group.
Thomas Johannsen, who for more than 10 years has worked in the commercial business of Mabanaft, will take over the position of managing director for commercial transactions as of 1 January 2008. Johannsen will be responsible for management together with Nikolaus Gehrs, who will continue to be responsible for management at Mabanaft Deutschland.
Mabanaft Deutschland belongs to the Mabanaft Group, the international trading division of Marquard & Bahls, Hamburg. Mabanaft is the leading independent petroleum importer and wholesaler in Germany. The company supplies heating-oil retailers, service stations, and major commercial customers. Currently the company provides customers with eight sales offices and more than 40 distribution locations.
