A central point of our effort to conduct our business activities in a safe, healthy and environment-friendly manner is the training and education of our employees.

Due to the variety of our activities it is important to evaluate all risks individually. Based on this analysis we establish tailor-made standards and work instructions. By carrying out internal and external HSSE audits we ensure that these standards are followed. 

We have a vital interest in the safe operation of tankers and terminals. Therefore, Mabanaft's parent company Marquard & Bahls is a member of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) and the European Barge Inspection Scheme (EBIS), to be actively involved in promoting continuous improvement in standards of design and operation.
